Kids Go To School Bangkok Needs Your Help

For Immediate Release

Bangkok, Thailand, January 21 2026 - In a joint effort to combat educational inequality, Kids Go To School Bangkok and Brandnow are launching a project to support students in Bangkok's Khlong Toei district. This initiative builds upon the impactful work of Kids Go To School Bangkok, founded in June 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic with the support of Bangkok Accueil, which currently provides scholarships and essential resources to 200 underprivileged students in Bangkok’s Khlong Toei district, ensuring they receive equal educational opportunities to become empowered and skilled adults.

“We not only want to help the children through further education, but also to create an environment where the children can grow in every way, where they feel included and accepted,” says Father Edgar, initiator of the Kids Go To School Bangkok project and member of the Xaverian Missionaries. The Kids Go To School Bangkok project has a proven track record of transforming lives. Thanks to generous donors, 200 children are currently attending school and seven students, supported by the program, are now pursuing their studies at university. Several alumni have already graduated and are working to earn an income to support their lives.

“Kids Go To School Bangkok has supported me in paying my university tuition and my studies. I want to say thanks so much to Kids Go To School. This means a lot to me," shares Charoenchai Khetcheep, an alumnus supported by the program.

The project has also been recognized with the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce’s Best Charity Project award in both 2020 and 2024, affirming its impact and credibility within the community.

It is Kids Go To School Bangkok’s mission to continue to support children like Charoenchai Khetcheep, and therefore, they face an urgent need for support to provide:

• School uniforms, shoes, and books (฿10,000 per year covers one child’s essentials)
• Scholarships for long-term education
• Learning tools to ensure seamless studies

Every donation, regardless of size, directly funds scholarships and essential educational items, providing children in need the necessary tools to pursue their education and achieve their dreams.

Want to Contribute Directly?

Kids Go To School Bangkok welcomes and greatly appreciates donations from individuals and organizations, with every contribution directly helping underprivileged Thai students in the Khlong Toei district in Bangkok to provide essential items such as books, uniforms, shoes, and school materials to facilitate the continuity of their studies. Students and volunteers have the opportunity to visit families in the Khlong Toei slum community and support ongoing activities through on-site volunteering. These visits foster meaningful connections, promote cultural understanding, and allow participants to witness first-hand the impact of the project while contributing to the well-being of the families and children involved. Beyond education, the project nurtures community and creativity. Kids Go To School Bangkok created a choir with the children who now sing at events, and a group of volunteers who meet on Saturday mornings to play and engage with the kids. Many international schools, including Saint Andrew’s, have also partnered with the project, showing the widespread support and recognition it has gained.
