Chulalongkorn Business School's MBA Program Prepares Leaders for Tomorrow

In an era of rapidly evolving workplace skills, the MBA Program at Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS) stands ready to equip future business leaders with the skills and knowledge needed for a sustainable future. Anchored in a 5C learning philosophy—Critical Thinking, Creativity, Care, Collaboration, and Communication—the program aims to forge leaders’ adept at navigating the challenges of tomorrow.

Assoc. Prof. Nuttapol Assarut, the Director of the CBS MBA Program, disclosed that the curriculum is crafted based on cutting-edge research on the skills vital for future business and economic landscapes. This is in partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF), highlighting 10 essential skills for future business leaders, including AI & Big Data, Analytic Thinking, and Creative Thinking, among others.

The MBA at Chula is proactive in adapting its curriculum to the shifting skill landscape, focusing on enhancing the abilities, knowledge, and competencies of tomorrow's leaders through its 5C learning strategy. This strategy informs the curriculum design, including:

Critical Thinking: Emphasizing rational and systematic analysis and interpretation of information. This encompasses understanding business mechanisms across various scenarios, with a significant focus on AI, Big Data, and Analytical Thinking. Courses in Data Science and Business Analytics are central to this pillar.

Creativity: Encouraging the generation of new ideas through experiential learning and projects. CBS leverages ongoing research to blend knowledge from global texts with practical applications, fostering creativity in both local and international contexts.

Care: Fostering a sense of responsibility towards stakeholders, communities, and the environment to build robust and sustainable businesses. This aligns with teachings in Environmental Stewardship and Customer Service, offering students practical experience through community engagement and sustainability projects.

Collaboration: Cultivating leadership qualities that promote teamwork and the maximization of team potential. Students engage in project-based learning to develop these collaborative skills.

Communication: Recognizing the critical role of effective communication in leadership. The program designs courses to enhance various communication skills, ensuring graduates can convey their ideas clearly and align teams towards common goals.

Assoc. Prof. Nuttapol highlighted the recent launch of the Lifelong Learning project, encouraging alumni to continuously update their skills and knowledge, affirming the program's commitment to producing visionary leaders ready for future challenges. The program aspires to be a catalyst for sustainable business development.
