As of June 30, 2026, the bank's total assets increased by 12.3% from the beginning of the year to 1.04 trillion dong (approximately US$39.6 billion), making HDBank one of the few commercial banks in Vietnam with total assets exceeding 1 trillion dong (approximately US$38 billion).

The bank generated the highest profits in the industry, with a return on equity (ROE) of 25.4% and a return on assets (ROA) of 2.17%. Total operating income increased by 8.8% year-on-year to 22.68 trillion VND (approximately US$862.8 million), while non-interest income increased by 23.1%.

The shift to digital has driven a reduction in the cost-to-income ratio to 24.9%, resulting in over 94% of retail customer transactions now being conducted primarily through digital channels.

Outstanding loans grew by 18.8% to 698.36 trillion dong (approximately US$266 billion), driven by lending to manufacturing, SMEs, agriculture, infrastructure, supply chains, and consumer finance. Meanwhile, total funding reached 932.44 trillion dong (approximately US$35.5 billion), up 12.1%, and customer deposits increased by more than 20%.

HDBank's growth is driven by a comprehensive ecosystem encompassing banking, digital finance, securities, insurance, fund management, and consumer lending, alongside aviation, real estate, infrastructure, technology, and education. This network serves over 34 million direct customers and provides access to an additional 20 million customers through partners, supporting robust customer base expansion and cross-sector product offerings.

For its subsidiaries, HD SAISON reported pre-tax profits exceeding 804 billion VND (approximately US$30.6 million), while HD Securities' pre-tax profit soared to 1.47 trillion VND (approximately US$55.9 million), a 286% increase compared to the same period last year. This propelled it into the top 10 most profitable securities firms in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Vikki Digital Bank successfully expanded its user base to surpass 3.5 million.

HDBank continues to maintain strong financial stability, with a Basel II capital adequacy ratio (CAR) above 14% and a loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR) of 72%. Furthermore, both the Basel III liquidity indicators—the Liquidity Ratio (LCR) and the Net Stable Liquidity Ratio (NSFR)—consistently remain above 100%.

In the second quarter, Moody's Ratings upgraded HDBank's credit rating outlook to "Positive," while Fitch Ratings assigned its Long-Term Foreign- and Local-Currency Issuer Default Ratings to 'BB-' for the first time, placing HDBank among the top-ranked commercial banks in Vietnam.

In addition, HDBank successfully raised an International Syndicated Social Loan worth US$721 million, the largest such loan ever raised by a Vietnamese organization.

Driven by strong momentum from its core businesses, HDBank is well-positioned to achieve and surpass its pre-tax profit target for 2026 of over 30.1 trillion VND (approximately US$1.1 billion), representing a 41% growth from 2025.
