Building on insights from its nationwide driver survey last year, Bolt is launching the Driver Creator & Ambassador Development Program, an initiative designed to offer optional learning opportunities to drivers with digital skills, leadership capabilities and responsible content creation workshops. The program is voluntary and open to independent drivers who use the Bolt platform at their discretion.

Bolt’s 2025 survey with Kantar Thailand highlighted that platform work in Thailand is increasingly recognised as a flexible income-generating opportunity, with many drivers reporting improved household financial stability, high levels of flexibility and meaningful skill development. Now, Bolt is expanding its focus beyond earnings and flexibility, expanding its support for drivers who wish to develop additional digital and entrepreneurial skills. The initiative aims to empower drivers to share their experiences responsibly within their communities, sharing authentic stories while upholding professional and ethical standards.

The four-week Driver Creator & Ambassador Development Program will be open to interested drivers who meet basic participation criteria. Participants will have access to optional workshops and practical exercises focused on:

  • Storytelling and personal branding
  • Service excellence and leadership
  • Financial literacy and monetisation knowledge
  • Ethical, safe and PDPA-compliant content creation

The program seeks to support drivers in areas where many have expressed a need for greater clarity and structure, including financial planning, understanding content monetisation, improving technical and equipment skills, and navigating ethical and PDPA responsibilities in digital storytelling. Through workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions, participating drivers will gain practical tools to create high-quality content safely and responsibly, while strengthening skills they may choose to apply in their own independent activities

Bolt’s earlier survey found that many drivers have already developed stronger time management, customer service, communication and financial skills through platform work. The new Creator & Ambassador Program builds on this foundation by expanding opportunities into digital participation and leadership development.

“The findings showed us that drivers value independence and are building real financial stability,” said Nathadon Suksiritarnan, General Manager, Bolt ride-hailing Thailand. “This program is about the next step, equipping drivers with future-ready skills that support both personal growth and Thailand’s digital economy.”

He added, “When independent drivers choose to build new skills and expand their opportunities, it contributes positively to the wider digital economy.”
