Pathumwan Princess Hotel officially commenced its seasonal festivities on Monday 2nd December when the impressive Christmas tree in the lobby area was lit up in a star-studded ceremony. And once again, the hotel demonstrated its caring side by featuring a highly successful “Afternoon Tea” fundraiser in aid of the Rajavithi Home for Girls. The Home, located only a few kilometers from the hotel, provides wonderful care, education and ultimately job placement for orphaned and poorly cared for children aged 5-18 years. It was represented at the ceremony by its President, Khun Saisom Wongsasulak, and a number of the Home’s children who delightfully entertained guests with Christmas carol singing and Thai dancing. The fundraiser, together with other donations, raised THB 50,000 for Rajavithi Home for Girls.
Celebrities who kindly gave up their time to join the occasion included Peter Denman, well known actor from Channel 3’s drama series “Rak Plik Lock”; Khun Fon Kanyapak Intaraksa, First Runner up, Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017; Khun Auraiwan Pattanasilp, Miss Universe Thailand 2017; Khun Cat (Arthitiya Benjapak), Miss Grand Srisaket 2018 and Miss Polo Thailand and Asia 2019; Khun O (Krisada Nimala) - Mister Star Bangkok Thailand 2019 and Mister Grand International 2019. They joined the hotel’s General Manager Stefan Heintze and Khun Saisom Wongsasulak to turn on the festive lights, to great appreciation!
Stefan concluded by saying: “Christmas is a joyous time, and also a time to remember those less fortunate than ourselves. And so, as part of MBK’s “Tree for Life” project and with the welcome help of celebrities, guests and visitors, we try to bring a touch of happiness and Christmas spirit to disadvantaged children in Thailand. We have been delighted today to welcome Khun Saisom Wongsasulak and the children from Rajavithi Home for Girls and we hope that we have helped make this year a very happy Christmas for them”.
