Bolt Thailand has announced a collaboration with SLEEK EV, a leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, to promote the use of electric motorbikes among Bolt’s driver partners through a rent-to-own scheme. This initiative supports the adoption of eco-friendly vehicles and drives the growth of Thailand's EV market, which is projected to reach 1 million units by 2028, with an annual growth rate of 23.7%.
Thailand is embracing the electric vehicle era, and rapid growth is expected by 2025. This is driven by decreasing battery costs, the launch of diverse new models, and government incentives such as tax reductions and EV charging station expansions. This aligns with the country’s goal of becoming a leading EV production and export hub in Asia.
The collaboration also addresses the need to reduce PM2.5 pollution. Thailand ranked fourth globally for poor air quality last January, which significantly impacts health and the environment. Supporting the use of low-emission vehicles reaffirms the government’s efforts to transition toward a low-carbon society and combat air pollution.
The growing popularity of ride-hailing services in Thailand makes EV adoption within the industry a step toward aligning with national goals for sustainable change and reducing PM2.5 emissions.

Nathadon Suksiritarnan, Bolt Thailand's Country Manager, said: “The rapid growth of the EV market reflects increasing consumer awareness and preference for low-emission travel. At Bolt, we are committed to making shared mobility more accessible while promoting low-emission transportation. This initiative not only helps drivers lower costs and reduce pollution but also plays a key role in accelerating the transition to a low-emission society.”
Kantinan Tunveenukoon, CEO of SLEEK EV, added: “We are proud to contribute to low-emission efforts in the ride-hailing industry through this partnership with Bolt. Our mission is to provide options that not only minimize environmental impact but also offer Bolt drivers affordable and accessible EV solutions. This collaboration enables us to effectively support the industry’s transition to EVs, benefiting both drivers and the environment in the long run. We hope this program will be a pivotal step for drivers nationwide in adopting low-emission vehicles.”
