Rebuilding Towards a Sustainable and Resilient World with 69 Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2021 Aspiring Award Recipients

ในปีนี้ Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) ได้เฉลิมฉลองความสำเร็จครั้งสำคัญในโอกาสครบรอบ 10 ปี ที่ได้สนับสนุนโครงการ CSR อันโดดเด่นจากทั่วเอเชีย ในช่วงทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา AREA รู้สึกภาคภูมิใจและเป็นเกียรติที่ได้เป็นผู้ให้การสนับสนุน รวมถึงได้สร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้แก่ผู้นำธุรกิจและองค์กรต่างๆ มีความรับผิดชอบในการสร้างโลกดีสำหรับทุกคน
Enterprise Asia ผู้จัดงาน AREA มีความยินดีอย่างยิ่งที่ได้เชิดชูผู้รับรางวัลทั้ง 69 ราย ซึ่งถือเป็นแบบอย่างของความมุ่งมั่นและความอุตสาหะ ผู้ได้รับรางวัล AREA ได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงความทุ่มเทอย่างไม่ท้อถอยในการดำเนินธุรกิจอย่างมีความรับผิดชอบแม้จะอยู่ท่ามกลางการระบาดครั้งใหญ่ที่กำลังดำเนินอยู่ในปัจจุบัน
AREA ได้รับการยกย่องอย่างกว้างขวางว่าเป็นมาตรฐานสำหรับแนวทางปฏิบัติด้าน CSR และความยั่งยืน AREA เป็นโครงการรับรอง CSR ที่โดดเด่นที่สุดในภูมิภาคเอเชีย ซึ่งริเริ่มโครงการโดยองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนชั้นนำของภูมิภาคอย่าง Enterprise Asia ด้วยผู้ชนะกว่า 500 รายจากมากกว่า 19 ประเทศ นับตั้งแต่เปิดตัว AREA มีเป้าหมายเพื่อให้เกียรติและยกย่องธุรกิจรวมถึงผู้นำในเอเชียที่ให้การสนับสนุนการดำเนินธุรกิจทียั่งยืนอย่างมีความรับผิดชอบ ในปีนี้ มีผู้ได้รับการเสนอชื่อ 205 รายชื่อ จาก 16 ประเทศที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกผ่านเข้ารอบในการตัดสินครั้งสุดท้าย และมีเพียง 69 รายเท่านั้นที่ได้รับรางวัล
Richard Tsang ประธาน Enterprise Asia กล่าวทักทาย “นับจากวันนี้ต่อไปมูลค่าระยะยาวของบริษัทส่วนใหญ่นั้นต้องนับรวมองค์ประกอบต่างๆ ด้วย เช่น นวัตกรรม ต้นทุนทางปัญญา และวัฒนธรรม ดังนั้นกลยุทธ์ ESG ที่แข็งแกร่งจึงเป็นส่วนสำคัญของกลยุทธ์มูลค่าระยะยาวที่จะเชื่อมโยงวัตถุประสงค์กับวิสัยทัศน์ของธุรกิจเพื่อฟื้นฟูและมุ่งหน้าสู่การประสบความสำเร็จในโลกหลังวิกฤต COVID-19” และยังกล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า “เราไม่สามารถแยกความยั่งยืนออกไปได้ มันเหมือนกับการสร้างระบบและการปลูกฝังวิถีชีวิตแบบใหม่ เป็นการปรับสมดุลที่ยากลำบากเพราะจะอาจจะก่อให้เกิดความขัดแย้ง การประนีประนอม และการแลกเปลี่ยนขึ้น”
ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2554 AREA ได้ให้การยอมรับธุรกิจจากหลากหลายอุตสาหกรรม พร้อมทั้งยกย่องความสำเร็จของพวกเขาในหมวดหมู่ประเภทต่างๆ ทั้ง 7 ประเภท ดังต่อไปนี้ Social Empowerment, Investment in People, Health Promotion, Green Leadership, Corporate Governance, Circular Economy Leadership and Responsible Business Leadership
ผู้ชนะประเภท Responsible Business Leadership ได้รับยกย่องว่าเป็นผู้นำที่มีความรับผิดชอบ อยู่ในระดับแนวในการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนแนวทางการปฏิบัติที่ยั่งยืน รวมถึงส่งเสริมวาระความยั่งยืนภายในองค์กรและชุมชนของพวกเขา ได้แก่ Shuang-Lang (Paul) Peng ประธานและ CEO ของ AU Optronics Corporation, Joseph Huang, ประธาน E.SUN Commercial Bank, Richard M. Tsai, ประธาน Fubon Financial Holding Co., Ltd., Pitak Ratchakitprakarn ประธานและ CEO ของ PTG Energy Public Company Limited จากประเทศไทย และ Chun- Chi Chou ผู้ก่อตั้ง Sinyi Group จากไต้หวัน
ในบรรดาโครงการที่ชนะรางวัลจากประเภท Health Promotion บริษัท Far Eastern Big City Shopping Malls Co., Ltd. กับโครงการ 'Big City, Big Health - A Healthy Community Platform For All Ages' ได้มุ่งเน้นไปที่การทุ่มเททรัพยากรให้กับกลุ่ม การบริจาคโลหิต การป้องกันโรคตับ และการส่งเสริมสุขภาพสำหรับทุกเพศทุกวัย บริษัทได้จัดแคมเปญบริจาคโลหิตที่ทำลายสถิติ ให้ทุนสนับสนุนการประชุมด้านสุขภาพตับเพื่อส่งเสริมการป้องกันโรคตับ และจัดกิจกรรมกว่า 160 กิจกรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาพสำหรับคนทุกเพศทุกวัยในปีที่ผ่านมา
การริเริ่มในการร่วมมือกันของ Taipei Lung Shan Temple, Liver Disease Prevention and Treatment Research Foundation, Taiwan, YUAN High-Tech Development Co., Ltd., และ Realtek Semiconductor Corporation ก็เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของผู้ชนะประเภท Health Promotion เช่นกัน โครงการของพวกเขาคือ “For Peace, For Health, Ten Thousand People Together To Protect Our Livers!” ซึ่งโครงการนี้ได้ทำลายสถิติ Guinness World Record จากการที่ให้ประชาชนในไทเปทำแบบสำรวจสุขภาพ ในวันที่ 31 ตุลาคม 2020 ภายในระยะเวลา 12 ชั่วโมง โครงการนี้พยายามที่จะให้ความรู้และความเข้าใจในเรื่องการรักษาสุขภาพตับ และผู้เข้าร่วมทุกคนจะได้รับการตรวจสุขภาพฟรีหลังจากทำแบบสำรวจเสร็จสิ้น
PTG Energy Public Company Limited คว้ารางวัลชนะเลิศประเภท Social Empowerment จากโครงการ PT Volunteer Camp “We Care Leave No One Behind” ซึ่งมุ่งช่วยเหลือชุมชนที่อยู่ใกล้สถานที่ปฏิบัติงานในด้านสาธารณสุข การศึกษาและสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อส่งเสริมให้ชาวบ้านเข้าถึงโอกาสในการพัฒนาให้มีชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นและทำให้พวกเขาเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนไปพร้อมกับบริษัท อีกทั้งยังก่อตั้งหน่วยแพทย์อาสาสมัคร PT และสร้างปอด PT ให้กับชุมชน รวมถึงการให้บริการตรวจตาสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ มอบทุนการศึกษา อุปกรณ์กีฬา และสื่อการศึกษาให้แก่ชาวบ้านหลายพันคน
Bolloré Logistics Singapore Pte Ltd เป็นหนึ่งในผู้ชนะที่โดดเด่นของประเภท Green Leadership สำหรับโครงการ “Powering Sustainable Logistics in Singapore” โครงการนี้สนับสนุน 8 เป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของสหประชาชาติซึ่งทางบริษัทสามารถลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก วัสดุสิ้นเปลือง และการใช้น้ำ ในขณะที่มีอัตราการรีไซเคิลเพิ่มขึ้น ในปี 2020 พนักงานของบริษัทกว่า 1,500 คนได้รับการให้ความรู้ในหัวข้อความยั่งยืน โดยในจำนวนนี้มีมากกว่า 1,300 คนได้รับการฝึกอบรมอย่างเป็นทางการในหัวข้อดังกล่าว
ในวันเดียวกัน ก่อนที่จะถึงช่วงเวลาของ AREA จะมีการจัดงาน International CSR & Sustainability Summit 2021 ขึ้น เป็นการประชุมสุดยอดแบบเสมือนจริง ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยมีผู้บริหารระดับ C-suite และผู้นำทางธุรกิจมากกว่า 300 คนจาก 12 ประเทศเข้าร่วมในการประชุมครั้งนี้
การประชุมสุดยอดในหัวข้อ "สู่อนาคตที่ครอบคลุมและยืดหยุ่น" เป็นเวทีระดับภูมิภาคสำหรับผู้นำทางความคิดชั้นนำและผู้ปฏิบัติงานด้าน CSR เพื่อสำรวจในหัวข้อเร่งด่วนและการดำเนินการฟื้นฟูเพื่อสร้างโลกที่ยั่งยืนและมีความสามารถในการฟื้นตัวได้ในเร็ววัน
Tan Sri Dr Fong Chan Onn ประธาน Enterprise Asia กล่าวเปิดการประชุม “วิกฤตครั้งนี้เป็นการปลุกทุกคนให้ตื่นขึ้นมาอย่างมีสติ ทำให้ความสำคัญของการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องเร่งด่วนที่พวกเราจะต้องหันมาให้ความใส่ใจกับสุขภาพของโลกมากขึ้น เช่นเดียวกันกับวิกฤตของสภาพภูมิอากาศ ส่งผลให้เราต้องเปลี่ยนความคิดเกี่ยวกับลำดับความสำคัญของแต่ละเรื่อง มันหมดเวลาที่จะพูดคุยแล้ว ตอนนี้ควรมุ่งเน้นไปที่การกระทำ เรามีโอกาสที่จะเริ่มต้นใหม่และกำหนดแนวทางการฟื้นตัวหลังเกิดโรคระบาดเพื่ออนาคตที่ดียิ่งขึ้น”
